Procrastination will work against you. The class has a firm calendar of deadlines. In order to do well, you have to meet the deadlines. So my advice to you as a new hybrid student is to try to stay on top of your assignments. Even on the day's you don't have to come to class, you still have to be online and do the work. You need to have self-discipline and stay focused while you are doing your work because when you are home doing work, you're going to encounter many distractions. 
thats what jay foad said he learned in class and i agree with it 100%. you cant slack off in class and thing the teachers will give you an A like that. you have to put in the time and the effort and do your work regardless what ever you are and should not make any excuses either about it.



I learned from this class that when reading stories or poems that you should look for things over than what is in the text as it can mean different things. You have to analyze things such as time period, setting and other context in the reading robert clark said that.

and i also agree with that as well, similar to what i said but just as good especially with the analyze the time period and setting and other stuff. you have to make sure you know what you are reading and how you are reading it and what you are reading and just dont think the easiest text or title could mean nothing because truly those things mean the most, and anything could give you a sign or symbolize something.

The most important thing ive learned is too, work better on my tone that what we write can mean alot to different people.As well  everything we say or read or write there is a symbol in the words, or a type of figurative lanugage. That writing isn't as easy as it seems, and on how to write essays better and what not to have in it and what to have.

Women in modern life are still in charge of the house. You still view them as to do laundry, cook and many other various task around the house but now I see as women must also work and pay bills now also. Women have took on more in modern life now showing how strong they are.

best plot in a movie

The best plot in a movie to me is between two different types movies, nerve and now you see me. i love the idea of both movies and how the plots where, maybe because it involved the same character playing two different roles or what. But the movies had me hooked and lately movies dont do that anymore. with now you see me first and second both were good and explained it a lot. with nerve seemed like that normal plot that was different but at the same time it was unique in its on ways. for the now you see me movies one and two were good because it involved magic yes, but at the same time it got more deeper and hidden then you would imagine. with witty sarcastic characters they were like a family and i found that neat. and how the main character and his father and his father friend tied together. with good explaination small humor scenes and good action scenes everything tied together.
  now for the nerve plot it was really well, as well at first a lot of people thought it would be like all plots the shy girl gets loose gets the guy her best friend is more wild then she is tells her to break free when she does her best friend starts to get jealous. typical story. but this one took a lot of twist on it. with good humor action scenes. dealing with a true unseen eye controlling the whole game and the things people had to do. and the backstory of the guy and the other guy and how they tried to exit the game but couldn't just made the story so good and the ending thinking she really died but didn't making everyone leave the game showing what could of happen when people play a game and games no matter how popular they are arent all fun and games.

thats why to me these three movies had the best plot, they had a bit of everything and not to much and not to little.

The setting of my favorite show is set in a house and downtown chicago the poor side of chicago.  This means to the show how they struggle and will do anything to get out of that struggle but as also how it brings them together as a family and all the real stuff that can happen in a family. and just how rough it is no matter what race or religion. the setting really shows you how it is for them and how it goes.

I would compare them in a way, they both use an object in their line, as well they do make really good symbols. the towel representing his worries, his mistake, his faults has basically had enough and  he burned it let it go doesn't care anymore or just more so blue up in his face

for the poem the ball is a symbol and as well as the toad, a symbol for dreams and goals to get out of the easy life and to not have to work hard any more, both talk about that and finding who you are as a person and remaining true to yourself but differences as well .

A metaphor is really unique in its own way, and similar just like simile it's harder to come up with a metaphor thats why its so cool and unique and you cant use like or as, and how it's used in poetry ties the poem together and makes the poem stronger. i think truly poetry is amazing and i love reading it and saying it, because you can become that person or know how that person felt as well, feel like you almost knew them. poetry can be about anything and i think thats cool as well.

A song that's been on my mind lately is voodoo by nick Jonas and as I realized  was trying to find a metaphor from the sing lyric but not seeing the whole song and the chorus lyric is like a metaphor how he compares her to vodoo. Or this perosn he is talking about. Saying I'm not fucking with your voodoo or like how you are voodoo. Which in a way it its deep and through out the whole song he is using metaphors and figurative language. Its catchy and deep and hold a way to cut some one off calling them bad mgic or not good for them basically.

a mythology element in my life could be the time i was put into the hospital for a couple of months on end, no one knew where it came from or how it happened, i suspected it came from me drinking i would use that as my archetype. it showed what i could do to my body, how it was slowly killing me. As well, as being in the hospital it showed me who was there for me and who was not. because of that i dont drink anymore, and since i do my body is fine, no matter what the reason was it was God's way of saying you are slowly killing yourself and thats not cool.

basically saying dont give up, and dont change who you are for no one, always be yourself. love yourself, and do know some people will not accept you for who you are but others will and thats okay, forgive the ones who did you wrong, and realize nobody's perfect and you have done the best you have to make people see who you are is who you are. and sometimes if you gotta drive to get away or do what ever you do to make you feel better do it, dont turn to the worst of things to help ex drugs, suicide other bad things. and realize you are special in your own way so dont lose that light that shines in your own heart and dont let anyone tear it down.

the theme of my life so far has literally been a rollar coaster, the ups and downs the good and the bad. as well as maturing growing up older with age, realizing you arent getting any younger. ive moved, ive lost ive  won. people have left, people have came. ive kept old freinds made new freinds. reached the bottom of the pit to where i was going to die, to be brought all the way back up blessed back in school. the theme for my life is a simple one... the highs and the lows on this rollar coaster peak is what i would call it. from here on out im prepared for what ever is thrown my way, what happened to me in the past and even leading me up to now has prepared me for this and im so grateful. and thats my theme for my life.

The theme of my favorite movie which is  beauty and the beast, the theme talks about a independent strong smart girl who is poor but worker her hardest everyday she is then sold by her father to make more money for him self.  upon realizing she is sold to a beat who is really a prince, with time she hates her father and she hates the man she is living with but as time go by she realizes that she loves the beast for who he is and seeing the good in him. and eventually they get married breaking the curse, to me the theme is love a person no matter what or what form, and as well forgive.

Something that I often wear would be the necklace that my boyfriend gave to me. This necklace really means a lot to me because he went through so much to get it for me. I never take this necklace off unless he makes me upset... so that is like one day every week.

I have a gold bracelet that was given to me after my dad died that was his. It means a lot to me as it is a form of good luck and something I still have from him. It's real gold but I would never sell it as the sentimental value is to big to put a price on.

something i often carry or wear with me i, my class ring. i never take it off because it was given and paid for by my mom, also its really expensive so i try not to take it off unless i have to. it shows that ive graduated from high school as the class of 2015, and the different designs show exactly who i am and what i represent. my history for it, my mom didn't have one and i dont think my uncles got one so it shows i was the first to truly get a ring like this and for that im truly grateful.

The setting in "Geese" affects Dina as her plan was to go there and make a lot of money and live a new place was a good idea said but not done. Her being an American it was hard for her to get a good job in Tokyo as she worked at an amusement park for sometime .As she struggled to get a job as the story suggest " Ari found another job, Dina didn't". Her being away from home so far is the reason as she to prostitute and brought this situation. I would say location brought upon the interest the men had in her as she was African American probably not something they saw in Tokyo all the time. 
That's what Robert Clark had to say, and  i totally agree .it shows the significance of the setting and how the writer felt.



The significance of the setting in this story is that it takes place in Japan. Japan is the oldest monarchy in the world.  She realize that living in Tokyo was not what she expected.
that is what keshawn hurst  had to say, which to i also agree.it had to do with japan culture and it being the oldest made it even more intresting to use as a setting as if it was fate.

the importance of the setting in packer story was the fact dina the character loved what she saw in japan from the culture to the food. to what they wear to how they spoke. it shows when a place or even a person sparks your interest you stay with it a long time. also as well as the culture the two different cultures colliding and learning something from each other. it  showed that and let you learn a little bit more about dina, as well as packer as well. maybe for her she had a place like that she wanted to go to or maybe it was even japan. the idea of seeing a new world or a new place, and either watching it on tv, or hearing about it.

ive had several things happen to me in my life, but one thing that i can't forget is the fact i didn't grow up with a father, and the difference of how my sister did will always be a huge impact on me. an if i was to write a poem about it or a story about it, it would be the best detailed piece of work ever, but on the line it wouldn't be more of anger as it was when i was younger. more so pride in myself an being independent and as well how certain things would be a little different if i had a dad. with relationships with men, cars, sports an so much more. but how much it has taught me i dont need a man, and the fact i have uncles to take that area. it would of been great too grow up with a dad, but at the same time why?

karen van dee zer life affects the story simply by the fact is she was already a good romance writer, and wrote another series or harlequin books. "she's a major publisher of formula fiction, that has sold well over a billion copies of its romance titles. enough for about 20 percent of the world's population." So that alone the talent and skill for her to write such a good book like that was probably easy to her. An i hope to be a writer like her, just not for romance.

Faulkner's plot is more on the line of the south verse the north, as well talking about how emily represents the old south, where she feels like she doesn't have to pay taxes or she automatically has white power. faulkner feels like the rose is a way to say good bye to emily, but more so good bye to the old south ways. we are still going through that right now slowly but surely its getting better. emily stands for the old south a monument if you say.  something that should go away and it isn't necessary in my opinion it's pointless.

Plot similar to my life.

The closest plot that compares to,  my life is the rose for emily.  I grew up more in the north and came down to south,  where i live now is mostly white people unlike a rose for emily where Toby was the only black male.  Honestly that story is the only true soty i can compare with.  Not sleeping with a dead person but the race and the north an south type deal.  More so i have a best of bith world's and i like it.  Some say i have a accent because of it which is cool!

My favorite movie is "Cannabis Kid" which can be found on Netflix. The reason why this is my favorite movie because it shows the ambition of young males wanting to make money in there own way. Also it shows how they prefer to live their life.

He as well lost his best friend due to all of this, so it teaches you a lot then just weed.

My favorite movie is Friday after next 
 Figurative Meaning: You could say it has the holiday spirit as things turns out for everyone to be okay and even better at the end for them as they have made a come up and put back in the christmas spirit.
Literal Meaning: Is two people who have just been robbed blind around the holidays and put them in very bad situation. Leading them to get a job neither one of them like and eventually they lose.

As robert Clark has stated i agree and do love the movie and understand why this would be any one favorite movie, having to do with family and bonds.
